20CB500 pneumatic clutch can be made with single element and double element as need, double element torque is twice of single element's. Two elements connected via screw bolt together. It can be used as clutch or brake as needed with different installation mode.

This CB rubber tube clutch can replace Eaton Airflex series tube clutch very well with competitive price. 20CB500 is also called SH-20 and SY-508, it is driven by air pressure. After inputting air source, air tube will be expanded and then touched drum tightly, so as to transmit power from motor driving part.

This CB product can be used as a clutch or brake as needed, it depends on its installation mode. When this CB element fixed on flywheel, it works as a clutch; when it is fixed on flange plate, CB element used as a brake as below picture shown. 

This CB product is driven by air pressure, when inputting air source into air tube, rubber tube expanded and making friction linings forward. When this element used as a clutch, friction linings forward, hug load shaft and driven part, clutch linking and making them rotating together. When this element used as a brake, friction linings forward, hug rotating part and shaft, brake braked and making rotating part stopped.

This rubber tube clutch brake is a kind of friction type, it is through some groups of friction linings to touch drum, so as to make load end rotating or rotating part stopped. As usually, this element is matched with drum, drum hub and spider (rotary joint) to be a complete set of clutch or brake. 

From above technical data, we can understand that this CB products' with high torque. When the air pressure different 0.1Mpa, 0.5Mpa, 0.8Mpa, its clutch or brake torque is different, too. For the 20CB500 with single element, when air pressure in 0.1Mpa, 0.5Mpa, 0.8Mpa, its torque is 1180N.m, 5900N.m and 9440N.m in separately. So we can see that air pressure larger, clutch's torque is larger, too. Double elements' torque is two times of single one.

In this case, 20CB500 SH-20 dual element pneumatic clutch is applied in ball mill, it is fixed on flywheel. In this situation, clutch is like a connector, delivery motor power to load part. It is driven by air pressure, as usually it is in released status, after supplying air source, element and drum, drum hub connected, clutch linked for power transmission. After exhausting air source, element and drum separated, clutch released.

This element will be packed well in non-fumigation export wooden case before dispatch, element will be protect with foam during dispatch. So as to protect the element well during transportation.
